Investing in our Youth

Investing In Our Youth

Once a month ConinghamLee organizes and participates in a community enrichment project which has culminated in an annual fundraising initiative where all proceeds go directly towards the ConinghamLee Academy.

The vision of the ConinghamLee Academy is to better the course of the lives of disadvantaged youth in our community through education.

Our objective is to sponsor the  tuition fees for a tertiary qualification of at least one student each year. Instead of opting for correspondence or distance learning we want to provide an opportunity for the student to attend classes on campus and so benefit from a learning environment while broadening their horizons. ConinghamLee staff assist the students through a mentorship programme by facilitating and providing support, from start to completion of their qualification.

Considering a Career in Recruitment?

Interesting Industry facts

According to Wikipedia James Caan, best known as a former investor on the BBC television program Dragons’ Den, initially achieved success by starting the recruitment company Alexander Mann Group. He also went on to found Hamilton Bradshaw which is an investment group that specialises in Seed Capital and Growth Capital for recruitment businesses. His net worth is estimated to be around 95 million pounds.

Another example of recruitment success is the well-known story of an international firm founded in 1976, it started as a two-man operation above a laundrette. Nearly four decades later they have more than 5000 employees and a global office network.

In South Africa when most people speak of recruitment, they imagine a generalist firm, what does that mean? Recruiters of varying degrees of experience, recruiting for any level of role their client is looking for from Secretarial skill to General Manager.

Detailed terms of the Acquisition will be recorded in a further separate full agreement (“Full Agreement”).

Rationale for the Acquisition
In line with CSG’s acquisition strategy, the Acquisition allows for CSG to obtain a substantial market share in the hospitality and healthcare cleaning industries. The cleaning contracts already in place within the CSG group will eventually be transferred to Afriboom, thus creating a major cleaning brand in South Africa.

Acquisition of ConinghamLee and Associates by CSG Holdings

In November 2014 CSG Holdings acquired executive search firm ConinghamLee and Associates to bolster its workforce management division and to grow their footprint in the financial services sector. The acquisition serves to reinforce a number of synergies between the companies as ConinghamLee specialises in permanent white-collar recruitment primarily in the financial and engineering industries. “We look forward to joining the CSG group of companies and believe our clients will enjoy a more robust service offering while still benefiting from the specialist recruitment service we are known for” says new managing director for ConinghamLee, Liezl Watson.

CSG Holdings Limited, an ALTx listed company, is a one-stop non-core outsourcing group with a national footprint, focusing on labour intensive services.  In order to reduce the overhead cost and management burden on companies, CSG provides a wide range of labour intensive services that, although vital to optimal business growth and performance of a company, are often overlooked.
